It has turned into a tradition that after Greek schools are open, they
start Albanian courses for the children of Albanian immigrants,
especially in Thessaloniki, where this procedure started for the first
time in 2001.
Besides some premises at the “Aristotelis” University in Thessaloniki, where four classes have been running since 2004 under the care of the “Mother Theresa” association, there are also some classes with at least 120 students. Others will start after some weeks in some suburb areas of the city, and also in the capital, Athens.
