As the search for the missing passengers continues, an investigation launched by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) has pointed to failures in the train’s signaling system and the lack of investment in rail service over the past decades in Greece.
According to researchers, if this device had been operational, it could have prevented the train crash that killed more than 50 people.
